      Level 1 OISC Adviser

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced level 1 OISC accredited immigration Adviser to join us as part of our team.
     

    The Role :

     
    Managing individual cases for the purpose of migration to the United Kingdom including applying for extension and settlement visas.
     
    Deal with all types of visa categories.
     
    For each client, you must ensure that all paper work is completed.
     
    Contact clients at regular intervals in accordance with our quality service systems.
     
    Advising, assessing and collecting documents relevant to the migration process.
     
    Submitting successful applications to the Home Office or other UK authorities.
     
    Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and processes.
     
    Keeping updated with the latest Government legislation changes relevant to specific visa categories and also ensure that your skills/knowledge is up to date.
     
    Marketing the firm’s services and expertise to prospective clients.
     

    Professional requirements & experience :

     
    A minimum of Level 1 accreditation with the OISC Ideally, you will have completed a Law Degree and will have also completed the LPC or BPTC (BVC); Between 2-3 years immigration experience. Supervision experience and management of other staff would be beneficial. The candidate will need to have experience with applications in a fast paced, customer focused environment. An excellent level of communication is required with a strong command of written and verbal English required. The ability to manage your own caseload is essential in a busy and faced paced environment.
     
    Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems.


      Level 2 OISC Adviser

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced level 2 OISC accredited immigration Adviser join us as part of our team.
     

    The Role:

    • Remaining abreast of all relevant rules, laws and best practice affecting the Company’s core activities in UK inbound immigration.
    • Act as point of client contact and escalations
    • Helping ensure adherence to OISC Rules and Codes of Conduct.
    • Taking an active role in knowledge sharing within the Company.
    • Remaining abreast of the Company’s policies, procedures, technical systems and other means of business practice. Overall, becoming a fully contributing member of the practice.
    • Coordinate workflow generally and during staff absences; manage team members’ staff leave
    • Conduct team training and IC specific development training
    • Review and update process, procedural and best practice guides together with the Senior Management Team
    • Act as a point of review, advice and guidance on ongoing cases for other staff members.
    • Prepare and deliver, with or without others, client presentations and training
    • Corporate immigration applications
    • Other non-PBS applications
    • Sponsor Licensing management/consultation
    • SMS Lv1/Lv2 user on client licences
    • Take ownership of complicated / difficult / sensitive / strategic cases
    • Complete relevant admin duties on casework
    • Oversee consulting projects, such as audits
    • Help manage and be responsible for your own casework, advice to clients and general service delivery, ensuring that the highest standards are consistently met.
    • Face to face client meetings

    Avaris Law is a leading immigration law firm, based in the heart of the City of London. We are currently looking for an experienced OISC Adviser to join our team.
     
    The Role:
    Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
    • Assist clients with all employment immigration issues, acting as their first point of contact
    • Advise and prepare applications to the highest standard
    • Provide technical advice to clients, assignees and third party vendors regarding correct legislation
    • Ensure a high level of service when winning business, as well as maintaining relations with existing clients in order to secure repeat business
     
     
    Professional requirements & experience:
     1. Detailed knowledge of immigration, asylum and nationality law, including:
     
    • Complex applications in the areas of work in which advice/services are provided
    • The Home Office practice in the consideration of appeals and complex cases
    • The Home Office concessionary/discretionary policies in complex cases
     
    2. Detailed knowledge of relevant rights of appeal, time limits and procedures at the TSIA
     
    3. A thorough knowledge of relevant case law and precedents
     
    4. Ability to be able to identify and make good use of appropriate case law to support a client’s case, anticipate and respond effectively to the citing of precedents by the immigration authorities, be able to challenge existing case law, where appropriate.
     
    5. Knowledge and thorough understanding of the types of evidence needed to support complex cases and appeals up to TSIA Level
     
    6. Knowledge and thorough understanding of the European Convention on Human Rights, the Human Rights Act 1998, the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and other relevant international law relating to immigration and asylum cases in order to be able to make effective and appropriate representations using this legislation in complex cases and appeals up to the TSIA Level
     
    7. General knowledge of immigration, asylum and nationality law and procedures
     
    8. Record keeping and case management experience


     Trainee Immigration Adviser

    Avaris Law is a leading immigration law firm, based in the heart of the City of London. We are now looking to recruit Trainee Immigration Advisers.  We are not only looking for academic excellence (that’s a given) but we will only also want to recruit those candidates that can demonstrate their determination and will to succeed. Any previous exposure to UK immigration law would be beneficial but not essential.

    Avaris Law is a London Immigration law firm. Our team of accredited Lawyers offers a comprehensive service for corporate and individual clients, based in the UK and elsewhere in the world, in relation to all aspects of UK Immigration Law and other jurisdictions.
     
    We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join us as part of our team on a permanent contract. The duties encompass all elements of the marketing mix with a heavy focus on event management, digital marketing communications as well as directory submissions and pitch work (formatting the RFP, presentation preparation).
     

    Being part of the team, your responsibility will include but are not limited to the following:

     
    • Researching target clients and developing targeting strategies
    • Developing and implementing the marketing plan
