Cyprus is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea with a strategic position between Europe, the Middles East and Africa.
 
Cyprus is the third largest and third most populous island in the Mediterranean and a member state of the European Union since 2004. Cyprus is still a member of the Commonwealth and its legal system is based on English Common Law.
 
Non-EU investors and their families may gain citizenship in Cyprus through a procedure called Naturalisation by Exception.
 

What Are The Investment Requirements Of the Cypriot Citizenship Through Naturalisation Investment Program?

 
You must invest an amount of at least €2 million in shares and/or bonds of the Cyprus State Investment Company and also make a donation of at least €0,5 million as a donation to the Research and Technology Fund.

Alternatively you must have direct investments in Cyprus of at least €5 million.  Direct Investments may involve the following:

 
Investment in Government bonds to the value of EUR €5 million

 
Investment of at least EUR €5 million in financial assets of Cypriot companies or Cypriot organizations
 
Investment of at least EUR €5 million in real estate, land development and infrastructure projects
 
Investment of at least EUR €5 million in businesses or companies, that are based and operating Cyprus
 
Personal fixed term deposits of at least EUR €5 million in Cypriot banks or privately owned company, held for at least 3 years.
 

How long will I need to hold my Investment?

 
You will need to have concluded the necessary investments during the three years preceding the date of the application and must retain the investment for a period of at least three years since the date of the Naturalisation.

 

How Long Will The Application Process Take?

 
The process will generally take four months to complete.
 

Are there any Residency Requirements?

 
There is no requirement to physically live in Cyprus.
 

What are the Benefits of Cypriot Citizenship?

 
Cypriot Law means that your spouse and dependents are also entitled to receive a passport and there is no requirement to surrender the existing nationality as dual nationalitys allowed.
